Rudolph Ryser (1946–2023), founder of the Center for World Indigenous Studies was a philosopher, writer, and policy analyst who worked in Indigenous affairs in the United States and globally for over 50 years. His seminal work on Fourth World Geopolitics focused on Indigenous self-determination, governance, international relations, and policy, as well as climate change, peace negotiations, and traditional knowledge systems.
This collection of writings traces the development of Indigenous self-determination movements at national and international levels from 1960 to 2023.
